Anne Corlett

Picture
Anne Corlett was graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a BS in Fine Art. She continued her studies at the Art Institute of Chicago, The Royal Academy of Art in London, the Kalamazoo Institute of Art and Oxbow in Saugatuck, MI. After raising a family, Anne became a full-time artist, working and showing out of her studio on the Kalamazoo River in Saugatuck. She draws her inspiration from the power of Mother Nature, and most enjoys working outside, en plein air. Anne’s artwork has been included in multiple publications and is in public and private collections nationwide.
“Creating art satisfies my need to communicate the awe I feel about the natural world. While painting en plein air, I record my visceral reaction to the landscape through color and mark-making. In this way, I celebrate the beauty and the power of life itself.”
