Betsy York

Betsy York holds a BA in Sociology from Pomona College (’73) and an MBA from Simmons University (’76). While she worked in the corporate, non-profit, entrepreneurial, and religious sectors, she expressed her artistic side for 45 years by taking photographs, making elaborate doodles during meetings, and repainting her living rooms in Los Angeles, Boston, and San Francisco multiple times. Since arriving in Michigan, she has been able to focus on painting and has studied online with Cat Pope, Matt Smith, and been supported locally by Teri Bersee, John Thomas, Christopher Strunk, Anne Corlett, and many members of the Saugatuck Douglas Art Club.
