I learned to love the outdoors when camping with my parents. Every tree, wave, groups of grass, clouds are connected and show us a beautiful world. Painting helps me see the beauty of this world and remember good times exploring trails and playing in the water. I try to get to the lake regularly to look at and breathe in the wild. My paintings are expressions of love for the subject. With a BA in Sociology from Pomona College and an MBA from Simmons University, my life journey kept me away from painting until I settled in the Douglas Saugatuck area and began to put art first. I have studied online with Cat Pope, Phil Stark and Matt Smith, and been supported locally by Anne Corlett, John Thomas, Christopher Strunk, and many members of the Saugatuck Douglas Art Club. I am grateful to live in such a beautiful place with so many good artists to share the journey. My work can be seen at the OxBow House Gallery in Douglas, MI.
