The 37th Annual LowellArts West Michigan Art Competition highlights outstanding artwork by Lower West Michigan artist who reside in a 25-county region. Artwork in any visual art media can be submitted by artists 18 yrs and older.  Artists may submit one piece for consideration by the juror.  Five awards totaling $3,000 will be presented.  The deadline is February 1, 11:59pm. The exhibition here, within contains profound layers of the unseen world on a large scale through Hefferan’s woven textiles. Mirroring the infinite details and complexities under the microscope, some of the titles of here, within are written out in amino acid chains continuing to highlight awareness between art and science.

Celebration of the Arts began in 1972 as part of the Music and Arts Ministry of First Church. In its 48th year, Celebration has grown to represent one of the largest juried sacred art shows in the country. It features artists from throughout the Midwest in a variety of media including oils, acrylic, watercolor, sculpture, fiber, photography, and more. During the festival, there are many individual events including concerts, drama, and art activities.
